Activators, Catalysts, and Trailblazers: Which Brand Purpose Activation Style Will You Choose?

You’ve poured your blood, sweat, and tears into your business. You’ve sacrificed countless hours and made difficult decisions, all in the name of success. And now, you’re ready to take things to the next level. You want to see your business grow exponentially, reach more customers, and make a bigger impact. But how do you do that?

The answer lies in adopting a brand purpose. What is a brand purpose, you ask? Simply put, it’s the reason your business exists beyond making a profit. It’s the driving force behind your brand and your contribution to a better world.

But a brand purpose isn’t just a fluffy marketing term. It’s a powerful tool that can help you achieve your business goals and make a meaningful impact on the world. By having a clear and compelling purpose, you can attract loyal customers, motivate your team, and make a difference in the world around you.

And the best part? Your hard work up until this point can be multiplied tenfold when you adopt a brand purpose. Your purpose can help you create a more fulfilling and impactful business, while also setting you up for long-term success. But it’s not enough to simply say you have a purpose. You need to be able to execute it in a way that’s authentic and effective.

I have helped over one hundred heart-led leaders figure out their brand purposes. Through my work, I started thinking about how best to help them implement these purposes in a tangible way. So, I created a way to help my clients visualize how they could root their purpose themes in reality.

First, I listed all my previous clients and the purpose themes they chose. Then, I categorized how each client was or planned on bringing their purpose theme to life. Three different approaches to executing their purposes emerged, which I called their Purpose Activation Styles. Here they are in a nutshell.

Activators: These business owners want to act tangibly and see immediate impact today. They’re not necessarily impatient, but they want to start giving now, even if it’s in small ways. Activators believe that money and time speak louder than words.

Catalysts: These business owners are focused on inspiring change. They use their passionate leadership and authentic connection with others to create a ripple effect of positive change. Catalysts believe that words have power and can shift cultures, invoke passion in others, and inspire change.

Trailblazers: These business owners are all about fighting for progress and rectifying injustices. They’re willing to go to bat for what they believe in, even if it’s uncomfortable or goes against the status quo. Trailblazers have strong convictions and aren’t afraid to be the thorn in someone’s side if it means moving the needle forward.

In my upcoming book, I go deeper into each of these styles and help you determine which one best suits you and your business. Remember, adding purpose to your business isn’t just a nice-to-have; it can be the key to unlocking exponential growth and success and doing a hell of a lot of good in the process! WIN-WIN!
